Reinstall Core Files using WordPress Toolkit

This guide will explain how to reinstall WordPress core files, if any changes are made to the core files running WordPress it can prevent the site functioning correctly, after reinstalling the core files it is advisable to check the site is still functioning as expected

TL;DR WordPress core files can be reinstalled via cPanel > WordPress Toolkit > Check WordPress Integrity > Reinstall WordPress Core

How to reinstall WordPress core files using cPanel's WordPress Toolkit

Step-by-Step Guide

1/ Search for WordPress Toolkit

In cPanel search for ‘WordPress Toolkit’ in the top right search bar and click on WordPress Toolkit from the search results

2/ Click Check WordPress Integrity

Inside the WordPress Toolkit interface click on Check WordPress Integrity

3/ Reinstall WordPress Core

Click on the option to Reinstall WordPress Core

4/ Confirm Re-installation

As this involves file system changes, WordPress Toolkit will ask to confirm the re-installation of the core files

5/ Re-installation confirmation

WordPress Toolkit will confirm that the core files have now been reinstalled
